My Learning Journey in Digital Marketing

Read my digital marketing learning journey—from starting with zero knowledge to learning SEO, SMO, Google Ads, Meta Ads, website design, and building LifeHub as my creative portfolio hub.

My Learning Journey: I Started With Zero

Every learning journey starts somewhere. Mine started in March 2026, when I decided to learn digital marketing.

At that point, I honestly didn’t know much about digital marketing. Terms like SEO, SMO, Google Ads, Meta Ads, keyword research, campaigns, and website design were not things I was familiar with. A Beginner’s Guide to Understanding Digital Marketing. As I explored these areas, I also started understanding how different digital marketing activities work together through a customer journey and marketing funnel.

I was starting from zero.

And that was probably the most important part of my journey—because I realised that you don’t always need to know everything before you begin. Sometimes, you just need the courage to begin.

From Learning the Basics to Building Real Skills

As I started learning, digital marketing slowly became more than just a course for me.

I explored different areas, including:

  • Website design
  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
  • Social Media Optimization (SMO)
  • Google Ads
  • Meta Ads
  • Campaign planning
  • Keyword research
  • Content and digital strategy

Initially, these topics felt completely new. But with consistent learning and practice, things started making sense. 7 Types of Digital Marketing Every Beginner Should Know

I also learned something important along the way: Learning isn’t just about completing lessons. It’s about understanding how to use what you’ve learned.

For me, practical projects, experimentation, personal experience, and trying things myself became just as important as theory.

AI Became Part of My Learning Process

Another important part of my journey has been AI.

AI didn’t replace my learning. Instead, it became a learning partner.

Whenever I wanted to understand something better, explore a new idea, improve my skills, solve a problem, or discover a different approach, AI helped me.

It also became useful beyond digital marketing—in my daily life, my learning process, and while thinking about my career.

The biggest lesson I learned from using AI is that technology can help you learn faster, but you still have to take the initiative to learn, practice, question, and apply.

The Biggest Challenge Wasn’t Digital Marketing

Interestingly, the hardest part of my journey wasn’t learning SEO or running campaigns.

It was learning to move forward again.

There was a major turning point in my life. I had to fight with myself, overcome fear, update myself, and find the confidence to start thinking about my future again.

There were moments when I wondered:

“Kya main kar paungi?”

That fear was real.

But I also had people around me who supported me and reminded me:

“Yes Nansi, you can do it.”

Sometimes, one person’s support can give you the courage to take the next step.

And I decided to take that step.

My Biggest Achievement Isn’t Just Completing a Course

Yes, completing my digital marketing course is an achievement.

But for me, the bigger achievement is what came with it:

My confidence came back.

I started feeling that maybe I could actually do something with my skills.

I started believing in myself again.

And eventually, I didn’t just think “I can do it.”

I started doing it.

That doesn’t mean I’ve reached my destination. In fact, I feel like I’m only at the beginning.

There is still a lot to learn, experiment with, build, and experience.

And that’s exciting.

Why I Created LifeHub

While learning digital marketing, I realised something practical.

For someone building a career in digital marketing, having a website, portfolio, and resume can make a big difference.

So I thought:

Why keep them separate when I can bring them together?

That’s how I started building LifeHub—a space that combines my:

Digital Marketing Portfolio + Creative Hub

LifeHub is not just another website project for me.

It’s a representation of what I’m learning, what I’m creating, and how I’m developing my skills.

It gives me a place to showcase my work while continuing to learn and improve.

My Learning Philosophy: Learning Is Earning

I strongly believe: Learning is Earning.

But I don’t mean that learning automatically gives you money.

I mean that before we expect to earn from a skill, we first need to invest in learning that skill.

And learning isn’t limited to classroom theory.

Real learning can come from:

  • Practical projects
  • Live projects
  • Personal experiments
  • Making mistakes
  • Solving problems
  • Working with real tools
  • Learning from experience
  • Staying updated

A certificate can show that you completed something.

Your practical work shows what you can actually do.

That’s why I want my journey to focus not only on learning concepts but also on applying them.

My Journey in Numbers

A few simple numbers represent where my journey stands today:

Journey Milestone Progress
Started learning digital marketing March 2026
Starting knowledge 0
Major areas explored 7+
Digital marketing course Completed
Portfolio project LifeHub
Current mindset Still learning

These numbers may look simple, but behind them are months of learning, uncertainty, practice, mistakes, and rebuilding confidence.

What I Want People to Take From My Story

I don’t have a fixed five-year plan or a perfect career roadmap.

What I do have is a belief:

Never decide that it’s too late to start.

You can start learning at any age.

You can start from zero.

You don’t need to know everything before you begin.

And digital marketing isn’t some mysterious field that only people with previous knowledge can enter.

You can learn it step by step.

You can make mistakes.

You can start again.

You can update yourself.

Most importantly, you can choose not to give up.

If I could start learning digital marketing without knowing much about it, someone else can too.

What’s Next?

I’m not calling this the end of my learning journey.

It’s the beginning.

There are still new tools to explore, skills to improve, projects to build, campaigns to understand, and experiences waiting to happen.

LifeHub will continue to grow alongside me.

Because I don’t want my portfolio to only show where I am today.

I want it to show how far I can go.

Conclusion

Looking back, my digital marketing journey isn’t simply a story about completing a course.

It’s a story about starting from zero, facing fear, learning new skills, rebuilding confidence, and finally believing that I can create something of my own.

My biggest lesson so far is simple:

You don’t have to have everything figured out before you start.

Start with what you know.

Learn what you don’t.

Keep improving.

And don’t give up on yourself.

Because sometimes, the biggest achievement isn’t reaching the destination.

It’s finding the courage to start moving again.

And for me, this is just the beginning.
